There is no shortage of headlines. There is a shortage of clarity. Sarie exists to close that gap: to reconstruct a story from the evidence, weigh it honestly, and tell readers what it actually means, rather than simply relay it faster.

We hold every claim to what the evidence can support. Where explanations compete, we lay them out fairly. And we would always rather publish a careful, accurate account than a louder one the facts cannot carry.

A finite edition

Sarie is finite by design. There is no endless feed, and nothing engineered to hold your attention. Each edition is a complete, considered read: the day's most consequential stories, edited to be finished in one sitting. When you reach the end, you are caught up.

We show our work

Every story carries its sources. We report from primary and original material, cite what we rely on, and correct the record when we are wrong. Trust is built in the open, so that is where we do our reasoning.
